Two cases of Cutaneous sporotrichosis

Abstract

|
The sixth and seventh cases of cutaneous sporotrichosis in Korea were reported. The patients were farm house-wives 33 and 72 y ears of age. Both patients had multiple coin sized with irregular margins, ulcerated, necrotic, purpulish colored lesions on the forearm, lineally.
The histories and clinical pictures of these suggested the lymphatic type of the disease.
Causal organisms were determined as Sporotrichum Sc henckii through the microscopical examination of the slide culture of the specimen on Sabouraud´ s glucose agar media.
